I Study Stars

I'm an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and PhD candidate in experimental nuclear astrophysics at Louisiana State University. My research focuses on developing detectors and techniques to probe key nuclear reactions for explosive astrophysical processes.

How I Got Here

I took my first physics class at NC School of Science and Mathematics. I earned a B.S. in physics at North Carolina State University in May 2019. As an undergraduate, I conducted nuclear physics research for 2 years with Dr. Richard Longland, served as editor-in-chief of Nubian Message, and sang in Acappology.

I earned my Ph.D. from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Louisiana State University. I was co-advised by Dr. Catherine Deibel and Dr. Jeff Blackmon in the experimental nuclear physics group.

I will be a postdoctoral researcher at TRIUMF in Vancouver, BC in spring 2026.
