I Study Stars
I'm an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and PhD candidate in experimental nuclear astrophysics at Louisiana State University. My research focuses on developing detectors and techniques to probe key nuclear reactions for explosive astrophysical processes.
How I Got Here
I took my first physics class at NC School of Science and Mathematics. I earned a B.S. in physics at North Carolina State University. As an undergraduate, I conducted nuclear physics research for 2 years with Dr. Richard Longland, served as editor-in-chief of Nubian Message, and sang in Acappology.
I’m currently working with Dr. Catherine Deibel and Dr. Jeff Blackmon in the LSU experimental nuclear physics group. I’m also a co-organizer of Astronomy on Tap–Baton Rouge.
